Recently, Alderman for Sustainability, Arjen Kapteijns, and members of The Hague City Council visited Leuven and Ghent to exchange insights on sustainability policies and local initiatives.
This inspiring trip which took place from September 26th-27th was focused on the energy transition and circular economy, providing a valuable opportunity for The Hague to learn from their Flemish neighbours.
In Leuven, the delegation visited Maakleerplek, where they received a guided tour and a presentation on innovative repair initiatives. Seeing firsthand how Leuven fosters repair as an alternative to buying new was a powerful inspiration for The Hague.
By sharing their collective experiences and learning from each other, they are working together to address shared challenges and advance a sustainable future for their cities!
