On May 12, 2025, partners from Apeldoorn, Foenix, Circulus and Lead Partner Saxion University visited the Aachen ecosystem as part of the ongoing E6 collaboration. The visit aimed to assess the current development status of the Aachen circular initiatives and explore opportunities for deeper cooperation within the project consortium.
To gain practical insights, the group toured facilities operated by Aachen Stadtbetrieb, including a visit to the local recycling center. A key highlight was the Wertstoffmobil—a mobile collection unit that enhances community access to recycling services and exemplifies innovative approaches to circularity.
The day concluded with a collaborative session held in the inspiring surroundings of the Digital Church. Discussions centered on legal challenges and opportunities for promoting the repair and reuse of electronic waste, reinforcing the shared commitment to a more circular future.
The visit marked a productive and forward-thinking exchange—strengthening cross-border cooperation and advancing the reuse and repair agenda in the E6 Project.
